MRA Installations works within about 50 miles of Antioch, covering the Chain O'Lakes region of northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin. Here's where we spend most of our time.
Antioch, IL
Antioch sits at the gateway to the Chain O'Lakes, right up against the Wisconsin border, and it's where MRA Installations is based. The housing stock is a real mix: Cape Cods and ranches close to downtown that are pushing sixty years old, and newer subdivisions further out that are due for their first major kitchen or bath update.

Gurnee is one of the larger towns in our service area, built out heavily through the 1990s and 2000s around its retail and entertainment corridor. A lot of that first wave of subdivision housing is now old enough for its original kitchens, baths and windows to need a real update rather than a patch.

Grayslake draws a lot of growing families, and the calls we get here reflect it: home additions, basement finishing for a playroom or home office, and whole-home renovations on the older homes closer to the village center.

Round Lake Beach is one of the older, denser communities in the Chain O'Lakes area, with a lot of starter homes and former seasonal cottages that were converted to year-round residences decades ago. Those conversions often mean the mechanicals, insulation and windows were never fully brought up to a year-round standard.

Lake Villa's identity is built around its lakes, and a real share of the homes here were originally seasonal cabins before being winterized for full-time living. That history shows up in outdoor living demand especially: decks, porches and patios that make the most of a waterfront or near-water lot.

Lindenhurst sits between several of the Chain O'Lakes and is mostly built out with ranch and split-level homes from the 1960s through the 1980s. Window replacement and whole-home renovation are two of the more common calls we get here, usually from homeowners who've owned the house long enough to know exactly what they want changed.

Fox Lake is one of the more boating-oriented communities on the Chain, and a lot of the homes here were built as seasonal lake cottages before being expanded into full-time residences. Siding and roofing take more weather exposure near open water, and that shows up in how often we're called for repair work rather than pure remodeling.

Spring Grove is more rural than most of our service area, with larger lots, farmhouse-style homes, and newer custom builds mixed in among them. Additions and outdoor living projects here often have more room to work with than a typical subdivision lot allows.

Richmond has one of the more historic downtowns in our service area, right near the Wisconsin border, and a lot of the surrounding homes are older farmhouse-style properties. Renovation work here is often a balance between keeping the character of an older house and bringing the kitchen, bath or systems up to a modern standard.

Beach Park has a lot of larger, unincorporated lots compared to the more built-up towns closer to the lakes, with an older mix of ranch homes on acreage. Whole-home renovation and additions are common here simply because there's more house, and more land, to work with.
